How To Take On Defenders As Point Guard.

Firstly, the things u will need: 2 Players, A Basketball and good control over ball (It is important to have good control).

As a point guard, you should practice playing without looking at the ball.

Try making your dribble as hard as u can.

Try learning different fakes and skill moves like over the back.

You can learn these from youtube or any other sort. Use to learn them in affective ways.

Try them fakes on the defenders.

Always try to possibly pass to to open player!!!!!!!

Another important thing,   To practice shot beyond 3pt line....    It is very important to a point guard. Speed of a player is also  very important, a fast player can beat defenders because of his speed. If you get a chance of making a shot, make the shot without thinking or pass it to someone who you think can convert it into basket. It is all depended on point guard for best suitable pass and making someone convert that basket.

Tips

  • Rojan Rondo, Derek Fisher, Dwayne Wade are some of best feeders. you can check out their play especially of rondo. His steals and fakes are awesome. His consiousness is the actual reason of best of the steals. While making fakes, it is important that you roll your eyeball as well , which will act as a illusion. While in defence, don't attempt to steal as he'll get a chance to beat you if you are fast enough only try then.
